Morning Bill, does Caggiula ad least have great speed, also a need in the top nine besides size?

Any idea what it would take the flyers to move up in the draft to nab Logan brown?

1st, 2nd, 3rd as a starting point??

It's really tough to know where Brown is going to end up going. I can see him going anywhere from about 8 to 15. I personally wouldn't move up past 12 to take him. So 18th plus one of the 2nds is probably about as much as I would offer.

I'd probably go more in the direction of Jimmy Vesey if they even have a shot.

Wouldn't say no to a player like Caiggula, but won't lose sleep if he doesn't come. If he can add some scoring to the Bottom 6, great, but if Read, Cousins and he were all in the bottom 6, I would have some questions about size

And yes: I understand the debate between a big player who can't do much and a smaller player who has more skill/speed. I don't view it as "either/or." For the Flyers to become an elite team, IMO, you have to figure out how to acquire a few guys who have some type of reasonable combination of both

It's not an easy lift

As for Radulov...he's a talented player. I admired his skill from years ago. He was very much like Tarasenko, as far as ability. One season he was pretty freaking amazing

Without me seeing him play a minute in, what, three years, though...pass. Not because I don't believe in taking a risk. More because I would prefer the Flyers try not to bring in a pure mercenary, then count on that person to score big goals. I don't think they have the kind of chemistry that needs to have that kind of player

Would prefer they look at options to bring in someone who is a little younger who can settle in for a few years, even if they trade a pick for someone they identify

Bill, if you could pick one of Caggiula or Vesey to sign with the Flyers, who would you go with? I've seen Caggiula play more, but my knowledge lacks a bit more on Vesey despite him being the former 3rd rounder.

And with Edmonton picking at 4 with the BPA most likely being forwards, I can't help but think they may try to use that pick in a trade for a defenseman.

Radulov is a cocky POS but I can think of far worse things than being at a bar before a game.

Young and can still put the pick in the net. Probably 0 chance he becomes a flyer, but like you wrote, doesn't hurt to do some due diligence on him .

I would prefer Caggiula over Vesey. Both can finish quite well, but I like Caggiula's overall game better. Vesey just doesn't seem to play with a lot of urgency, nor is he as crafty as Caggiula. But hey he is the bigger of the two.

A college LW or UFA LW would look at the Flyers and see there are two top six LW spots open. That has to be attractive.
